CHORAL SPECTACULAR!

CHICO enjoys an annual collaboration with Channel Islands Choral Association (CICA) presenting choral orchestral concerts. Since the inception of the Choral Spectacular, the CSU Channel Islands University Chorus has been featured. In recent years, choirs from several area high schools and the Pleasant Valley School District Chorus joined the wonderful collaboration.

CARNEGIE HALL 2022

In 2022, on the Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage at Carnegie Hall, Artistic Director Dr. KuanFen Liu conducted the New England Symphonic Ensemble and singers from the CSU Channel Islands University Chorus, Kirkland Choral Society of Washington State, Santa Paula High School Cardinal Concert Choir and Ventura High School Chorale in a performance of Morten Lauridsen’s Lux Aeterna. CHICO sponsored 40 high school students so that they could participate in this exciting opportunity provided by MidAmerica Productions of New York City.
