Patricia Lathrop-McPherson

Patricia Lathrop-McPherson, Coloratura, began vocal lessons with her mother at age 15 and continued studying voice at Brigham Young University.  She currently studies with Victoria Hart.  She has appeared throughout the West with companies such as Opera West, San Luis Mozart Festival, Wasatch Opera, New West Symphony, Pismo Light Opera Theater, Ojai Music Festival, numerous Gilbert and Sullivan Opera companies, Channel Islands Chamber Orchestra and Santa Barbara Light Opera.  Favorite roles include the Queen of the Night, Mabel, Goldentrill, and Lauretta. She has sung numerous oratorios specializing in Handel, Bach, and Haydn.  Some standout memories have been singing in Disney Hall, performing for President and Mrs. Ronald Reagan, winning Seattle Opera’s High C Competition, and singing our National Anthem at large sporting events.  She holds a Master’s Degree in Counseling and has been married for 27 years to Don, recently retired Fire Chief of Ventura City. She serves on the Board of Directors for Ventura Music Festival and is very happy to be singing with CHICO once more.
