John Fare’s life in music began with a chance mid-year invitation to join the orchestra in his sixth grade elementary school in Abilene, Texas. After a nurturing path through the public schools there, he earned his Bachelor’s Degree at Texas Tech University, followed by professional positions with the North Carolina Symphony and the Denver Symphony. John moved to California in 1974, where he received a Master’s Degree at USC, and began to perform for movies, television, and audio recording, musical theater, and orchestral concerts including the Los Angeles Philharmonic and the Pasadena Symphony. Along the way he performed live with the Eagles, at the Oscar, Emmy, and Grammy Awards, the 1984 Los Angeles Olympics, and was on camera for movies, TV shows, and commercials. John and his wife Joannie live in Thousand Oaks.
